Fox News hires Pompeo as an employee

Fox News Media has hired former secretary of state Mike PompeoState Department’s Mike Pompeo Memo Suggests Biden Is Reluctant To Rejoin Open Skies Treaty: Pence Report Launches Conservative Political Group Notwithstanding Trump, state reaffirms Voice of America’s editorial freedom MORE as a contributor, the company announced Thursday.

It said Pompeo would be commenting on Fox News and Fox Business Network for both daytime and prime-time shows. His first on-air performance as an employee will be on Friday in ‘Fox & Friends’.

The post could benefit Pompeo by connecting the former Trump administration cabinet member with Fox’s audience. Pompeo is seen by many as a potential presidential candidate in 2024.

“As a now a former diplomat and member of Congress, and in this new role at FOX News Media, I intend to give viewers a candid, no-nonsense look at geopolitics, international relations and the America First policies that have contributed to setting the course for unprecedented US prosperity and security, ”Pompeo said in the statement.

Pompeo, who served as a former President TrumpDonald Trump Gaetz trip to Bahamas is part of federal investigation into sex traffickingThe Secretary of State from 2018 to 2021 and is also a former director of the Central Intelligence Agency, has previously appeared as a guest on Fox New shows.

Fox recently hired other former Trump insiders as contributors, including former press secretary Kayleigh McEnany and Trump’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump.
