Fortnite’s next crossover character is Aloy from ‘Horizon Zero Dawn’

On the same day, Epic Games announced a $ 200 million investment from Sony, the publisher revealed that it is bringing another PlayStation character to Fortnite this week. Aloy explains Horizon Zero Dawn will fall on the island on April 15th.

An Aloy outfit and other HZDthemed items (such as an emote, pickaxe, glider, and back-bling) will appear in the item store that day. A bundle of the goodies includes an Aloy loading screen and if you wear the outfit while playing Fortnite on PlayStation 5, you get an Ice Hunter variant of that skin.

A Duos tournament around arches, Aloy’s weapon of choice, will take place April 14 on PS4 and PS5. You get more points when you kill enemies with a bow. The top performing teams in each region will receive the HZD bundle as a reward.

Aloy is participating Fortnite as part of the Gaming Legends series. Characters from other classic game franchises such as (Sony’s God of War), (Street Fighter) and (Halo) have all made their way to the Battle Royale in recent months.

Another gaming icon, Lara Croft, has recently arrived Fortnite next to the start of the primeval season. To mark the arrival of Aloy, Fortnite links the two adventurers in a temporary mode. Players will automatically wear one of two character outfits in Team Up! Aloy & Lara Duos, which can be played between 9AM ET on April 16 and the same time on April 18. Aloy will only have a bow and Lara will have to make do with her dual pistols, but the weapons are upgradeable.

Aloy is catching on Fortnite exactly as Sony is preparing Starting April 19, PS4 and PS5 owners can claim it for free through the Play at Home program. A ton of great indie games through the initiative through April 22nd.
