According to information disclosed by ESPN, the Mexican midfielder is a former Chivas player and also Cruz Azul player Carlos ‘Gullit’ PeñaHe would be in talks to play football in Nicaragua next year.
As detailed in the information, the ‘Gullit’ would play with the Real Estelí of the Central American country and the footballer himself does not look down on this option after his failed stint at Club Veracruzano de Futbol Tiburón in the Mexican football league, due to the serious economic problems of this team.

At the moment, however, no deal has been made in the negotiations, the economic issue would be a major impediment for the ‘Gullit’ Peña to play in Central America in early 2021.
In addition, Helmut Hurtado, president of Real Estelí, confirmed the negotiations with the Mexican player, but pointed out that certain details need to be polished so that everything closes in the best way.
“We spoke with his representative, the intention is to have a reference player for Real Estelí’s next international competition. There is interest from both sides, but the details need to be defined”, without specifying what details.
