The news comes on the same day that Underwood first spoke about his sexuality with Robin Roberts in “Good Morning America.”
“I’ve walked away from myself for a long time, I’ve hated myself for a long time. I’m gay. I came to terms with that earlier this year, and the next step in all of this was about people you know,” Underwood said. I am the happiest and healthiest I have ever been in my life. That means a lot to me. “
Underwood, a former NFL player, starred on season 23 of the ABC dating show.
The past few years have been big for Netflix’s non-scripted space, where a number of traditional reality series (i.e. those outside of reality competition and food spaces) made breakthroughs, even as the streamer’s library of original offerings continued to grow . “Selling Sunset” is arguably its biggest success to date, extending for two seasons last month.
