An unusual and even ridiculous event took place during a meeting between the Batanecos FC and Deportivo San Lorenzo football teams of Guatemalan football’s third division, when one of the players pretended to be hit by a stone thrown by someone from the stands on the pitch.
Several local media outlets report that the match turned very violent both on the field and in the stands, which Deportivo San Lorenzo mainly supported because it was the local team.
When the incident happened, a player from the field was on the ground and the referees had stopped play, at which point a projectile from the stands hit the grass in an area where there were no football players.
Suddenly, Rosbin Ramos, a Batanecos FC player, approached the place, took the stone, pretended to hit his head, then fell to the ground and started feigning pain, even outperforming Brazilian star Neymar.
Before his pantomimes of pain came, several local soccer players approached and one of them took the projectile and threw it off the field, but Rosbin continued to squirm in “pain.” More players arrived, including a referee, but local media say no one believed him and the match resumed normally.
At the end of the game, Deportivo San Lorenzo defeated San Lorenzo Batanecos FC with a score of 3-1, and the whole world gets to know Rosbin Ramos, unfortunately for his embarrassing and unsportsmanlike performance.
