Food 52 Reusable Product Bags Organize your refrigerator and save plastic

During this time my shopping trips have grown. When I go, I really go all week, maybe two, so that means stocking up on a lot of fresh produce. However, what has made me realize this is that I have a your of those plastic bags. You know those green bags in rolls that are somehow impossible to open? Yes that one. As I’ve been trying to be aware of my impact lately, and always looking for elegant solutions that don’t involve a pile of plastic bags floating around my fridge, I couldn’t be more excited about Food52’s new launch of its own Five brand. Two: produce bags.

These are reusable product bags to be precise. The bags come in three different sizes, and in particular two different fabrics. The first is a net weave, perfect for fruit, such as apples or oranges. The second is a woven cloth bag that is great for herbs and leafy greens. The tightly woven ones also have a hidden feature. Spraying them with a reusable spray bottle (which you’ll definitely need, too) will help keep herbs and vegetables fresh for longer in the fridge. The bags are only available in a gray color, which is handy as they help hide any stains, and they all come with a drawstring so you can be sure your products are safe. They can contain anything – be it rice, popcorn, nuts, but of course also products – the possibilities are endless. They are machine washable and best of all Five Two has also added their tare weight to the side of the bag so you can easily see how much the products actually weigh in the bag.

To be honest, I couldn’t be more excited about these bags. Each set comes with 8, which may not be enough for all of your products in the store, but it will certainly help limit the amount of plastic you tear off the roll. Or you can get two sets and discard the plastic altogether.

From things worth spending a little more to products you didn’t know you needed, The Case For reviews provide compelling arguments for products that will upgrade your life.
