SHORT TERM FORECAST

TONIGHT: cloudy. Low: 29.
MONDAY: Spotty icy rain. High: 30.
TUESDAY: Icy Morning. Dry afternoon. High: 31.
SUMMARY FORECASTS
Tonight we are dry and cloudy.
We then follow some very isolated and very spotty icy rain on Monday afternoon. This causes a glaze of ice on roads and sidewalks in the few places that get it on Monday afternoon.
Highlights will be around or below freezing on Monday.
Later in the evening, after rush hour, more places will start to see the icy weather.
The freezing rain will be widespread on Monday evening, and it will last for hours. So it will be pretty icy Monday night and Tuesday morning.
The freezing rain ends Tuesday morning during rush hour, but it remains an ice cold journey through all the ice we got last night.
You can monitor the icy weather with our interactive radar. The 69News Weather app locates the radar directly to your location.

Tuesday afternoon we will be dry and at sunset we will even see some sun.
Wednesday it will be sunny again.
Take advantage of the clearer skies on Wednesday evening by heading out to see Mars next to the crescent moon.
On Thursday, an all-terrain vehicle and a small drone helicopter will land on Mars. This is the first time anything flies on Mars, and NASA hopes the rover will answer once and for all: Was there life on Mars? The rover searches for ancient fossils in a dried-up lake.
Back here at home on Thursday, we’ll see a few more hours of snow in the morning. Then it switches to some spotty freezing rain to create some ice on the snow.
Then the icy rain switches to normal rain on Thursday at dinner time.
Then we just have rain on Thursday evening and all day on Friday. Temperatures first hit the 1940s in two weeks.
But the rain ends with a cold front, so the coming weekend will be chilly.
Look for sunny skies and 1930s highlights this weekend.
