FMLN denounces Bukele pro-government activist for harassment

The complaint was filed with the FGR and the Office of the Attorney for the Defense of Human Rights.

Members of the FMLN yesterday before the Office of the Attorney General (FGR) and the Office for the Defense of Human Rights (PDDH) denounced an alleged government radio ‘communicator’ for persecution, harassment and expressions of violence against women, who was identified as Roberto Silva.

The defendant, along with other people carrying ID issued by the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) as members of Radio El Salvador, entered the hotel where the final check takes place while following former candidate Daniela Genovez, as seen in a video on Silva’s YouTube channel.

The alleged communicator, who shares extensive information on his YouTube channel in favor of Nayib Bukele, made a live broadcast of the moment complaining to Genovez for allegedly insulting other colleagues, which cannot be heard in that recording.

In the video, she can be seen following the female member to the property assigned to the FMLN at the hotel and heard saying, “Why are you running away, coward.” Genovez closes the door.

A police officer confronted them for being in a restricted area, but they threatened him by saying, “Right now we are going to shoot the higher authority.”

When asked who gave him the diploma and whether he worked for government radio, he also lashed out at journalists.

FMLN deputy Yancy Urbina described these incidents as acts of “political violence” and confirmed the complaint they had filed.

On the same day, Comrade Daniela, along with several party representatives, presented something to the FGR and also to the Office of the Ombudsman for Human Rights. I would actually understand that this has already happened because what happened is a violent attack. against the comrade, political violence, ”he said.

Representative Karina Sosa, for her part, said that these actions are taken to provoke them, but that they will not lapse into them.

After the incident, Genovez said: “I told police that he was in the act of violating Section 55 of the Comprehensive Specialized Law for a Life without Violence for Women (LEIV) for expressions of violence against women; the policeman did not want to do anything, no, he did not stop him at the time, even though he followed me, he even wanted to enter our premises by force, he raided a private space ”.
