Widow June Dorie (Jenna Elfman) gets justice for John (Garret Dillahunt) when she shoots and kills a captured Ginny (Colby Minifie), avenging her husband just one episode after he was shot by Ginny’s daughter Dakota (Zoe Colletti). Now with John’s black gunfighter and pearl-grip pistols monogrammed ‘JD’, the renegade June becomes judge, jury and executioner despite Morgan’s (Lennie James) attempt to find a peaceful solution with armies seeking justice led from Victor Strand (Colman Domingo) and Sherry (Christine Evangelista).
“A lot of June’s story goes through the back half of Season 6, she’s going to have quite a transformation … I’m so excited about the back half,” Elfman said at WonderCon @ Home 2021. “It’s all going to be extremely powerful. for each character. Each character will be affected by the impact of the life that really changes them, leading us into Season 7, in a way that catapults the story. As each character will be profoundly changed by significant experiences, they are going to be too through in each of these episodes from the back half. “
The rest of the season’s episodes, including the June-focused episode titled “JD,” are “very dynamic,” Elfman teased.
“It’s more change than all of these characters have gone through Fear but I just think it’s exciting how it pushes the story forward, ”said Elfman. And as an actor I just really like it … I love playing June and I love all these changes that I get to play as an actor, it’s just a lot of fun taking them on these trips. “
