FBI Arrests Man Called Capitol Riot “Doobie Smoker.”

He had his own ‘joint session’.

The FBI has arrested a California man named “The Capitol Rotunda Doobie Smoker” after YouTube videos showed him lighting a marijuana cigarette in the US Capitol Rotunda.

Federal law enforcement arrested 32-year-old Eduardo Nicolas Alvear Gonzalez in Virginia on Tuesday and charged him with entering a restricted building, disorderly or disruptive behavior, and parading, demonstrating, or picketing Capitol Hill on Jan. 6, according to a criminal complaint.

“Here it is, I’m burning up in the Capitol. Mary Jane, ”Gonzalez would brag in one of the videos.

Federal investigators say Gonzalez was part of a crowd that stormed the Capitol in a joint session of Congress certifying President Biden’s Electoral College victory.

A family member tipped off the FBI that Gonzalez is the bearded man featured in the videos wearing an olive-colored sun hat, a long-sleeved shirt, a light green backpack, a black bum bag and a red, white, and blue American flag. pants while smoking marijuana in the Capitol Rotunda.

In a video entitled “Man smoking a doobie weed among Donald Trump capital supporters,” Gonzalez can be seen blowing smoke from his mouth as
another person asks him “what kind of weed is that?” states the complaint.

In a second YouTube entitled “The Capitol Rotunda Doobie Smoker,” someone asks Gonzalez why he smokes weed in the Capitol, and replies, “freedom,” the FBI says.

Gonzalez, of Ventura, appeared in federal court in Virginia on Friday.

Prosecutors say he is a fan of spreading conspiracy theories online that tie in with QAnon, a movement favored by right-wing extremists.

Lawyer Rodolfo Cejas defended his client, saying that believing in conspiracy theories is not illegal.

‘It may be strange. It could be different things. It’s not a crime, ”he said.

More than 200 people have been arrested and federally charged with breaking and entering Capitol Hill during the riot that killed five people, including a Capitol police officer.
