FBI agents involved in the shooting while serving an order in Sunrise

SUNRISE, Fla. – FBI agents were involved in a shooting on Tuesday morning while serving warrant in Sunrise, authorities confirmed.

Sky 10 was located above the area of ​​10100 Reflections Boulevard West, between North Nob Hill Road and Hiatus Road, while FBI agents and police officers from the Sunrise Police Department and Davie Police Department swarmed the neighborhood.

Otisha Browning-Smith, a spokesman for Sunrise Police, said an FBI agent was serving a warrant when shots were fired.

The spokesman said the suspect barricaded himself into a house and paramedics were called to the scene.

An FBI representative confirmed there were injuries as a result of the shooting, but declined to provide further information at this point. Two sources familiar with the matter confirmed to ABC News that FBI agents had been shot.

Although authorities did not confirm deaths, a medical examiner was seen on the scene just before 8:30 am

A Davie police sergeant told Local 10 News that their units were only helping in the case and not taking the lead in the investigation.

The sergeant said no officers from Davie were involved in the shooting or were injured in the incident.

Nob Hill Road is closed in both directions from Northwest 44th Street to West Oakland Park Boulevard.
