A man has been arrested in northern Mexico for allegedly beating his three sons to take back the mother of the children.
MEXICO CITY – A man has been arrested in northern Mexico for allegedly beating his three sons to return to the mother of the children, prosecutors said Sunday.
Prosecutors in the northern state of Sonora said on Sunday that the boys were 3, 7 and 8 years old. The deaths occurred on January 2 in the north-central state of Hidalgo. The suspect called his own father to tell him what he had. and the grandfather called the police.
The suspect apparently fled to Sonora, but was quickly detained there and returned to Hidalgo to be charged.
Prosecutors said the man argued with the boys’ mother and killed the children “in order to cause her great pain.”
Apparently he killed his sons in revenge on his wife, the office said in a statement.
