Does Meghan Markle hint the gender of her unborn child with a ring?
Fans have combed through the ex-royals’ most recent public appearance, suggesting that Markle’s pink sapphire ring is a coded hint that they are expecting a baby girl.
Page Six Style highlighted the Oscar de la Renta dress Markle wore for her performance at Spotify’s Stream On event on Monday, the pair’s first appearance since the announcement of Markle’s pregnancy. But it was the new ring on Markle’s right hand, an Ecksand rose-cut pink sapphire ($ 1,144), that sparked multiple comments on Instagram.
“Is the ‘pink’ ring an ‘indication / hint’ that it might be a little girl?” read one comment, per the British sun, while another asked if the ring was Markle’s ‘subtle way of saying I have a GIRL’.
According to the website, the ring is available in 14k and 18k yellow gold and made from 100 percent sustainably recycled gold.

Markle and Harry announced that they are expecting their second child on Valentine’s Day. Markle was wearing a Carolina Herrera dress, which was tailored during her first pregnancy.
