The suspended director of the Dominican Agrarian Institute (IAD), Leonardo Faña, attributed his arrest to a prosecution against him.
Faña accused officials, both past and current governments, of collusion so that he is detained today. However, he did not name those people.
The officer is accused of sexual assault by a former IAD employee, for which he was sent to two months protective custody this Monday.
“In the previous government, although I encountered them, they could never lock me up, but in my government, José Ramón Peralta, Danilo Medina, in consultation with some figures from my government, some figures from my party and figures from the prosecution, blocked me. my body, but they won’t be able to block my thinking, ”Faña said after hearing the judge’s ruling on Monday.
After his words, several people were heard by his side saying that he was not alone.
