EU. Restaurant sells tamale as if it were a hamburger; goes viral

Mexicans know that tamales are one of the tastiest foods and are part of one of the most important traditions for good reason: Candlemas day. However, there is a restaurant in the United States that decided it was a good idea add ingredients related to burgers to this dish, therefore many were amazed and criticized.

A publication by a user of that social network went viral via Twitter where he shared a screenshot of an Original Tommy’s restaurant post, which has several locations in cities in the states of California and Nevada, where he promotes the tamale.

Original Tommy’s mentions in their networks that this tamale is made with beef and they also add chili con carne that is his specialty. As if that were not enough, they add yellow cheese on top of this food, jtomato, onion and pickles, ingredients common in burgers.

The reason why this restaurant is adding burger ingredients to the tamale is that they mainly sell this product in their premises, but they decided to add this Mexican dish to their menu.

“Enjoy our beef tamale topped with our world famous chili. The perfect meal, ”says the publications the restaurant makes to promote this dish.

Soon the tamale with chili went viral and not precisely because many people wanted to taste it, Instead, they said it was nothing like the Mexican tamale, for which they were criticized.
