EPYC Gen 3 with Zen3 cores will be announced on March 15th

AMD EPYC based on ZEN3 cores will be officially announced this March 15, AMD has confirmed. There will be nearly 20 models that will drive the data center core, ranging from 8 to 64 cores.

Gen 3 EPYC will be based on Milan architecture and renew the Zen2-based EPYC series codenamed Rome, both series will offer up to 64-core ZEN3-based processors.

AMD will host digital launch of 3rd generation AMD EPYC processors on March 15, 2021

SANTA CLARA, Calif., March 8, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – AMD (NASDAQ: AMD) will host a digital global launch of the new 3rd generation AMD EPYC ™ processors on Monday, March 15, 2021 at 8:00 am PT / 11 a.m. ET.

The digital launch will feature presentations by AMD President and CEO Dr. Lisa Su, Executive Vice President of Technology and Engineering and CTO Mark Papermaster, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Datacenter and Embedded Solutions Business Group, Forrest Norrod, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Server Business Unit, Dan McNamara and appearances from leading data center partners and customers.

Launch will be available from 8 a.m.PT / 11 a.m. ET on the 3rd Generation AMD EPYC launch site. A replay of the webcast will be accessible after the live stream event ends and will remain available for one year after the event.
