Epic Games launcher will receive a patch to fix CPU usage

Have you ever wondered what your CPU is doing when the Epic Game launcher is running in the background. With Ryzen processors, it can apparently increase your process temperature by as much as 20 degrees Celsius.

Yes, there is a bug in the Epic game launcher responsible for defrauding Ryzen processors which should be just IDLE. However, the good news is: it has been discovered, is known and will be fixed soon. The sighting was posted on Reddit where wild theories surfaced, as if the application were using users’ PCs to mine cryptocurrencies or even being used as malware. The application was using 10 to 20% CPU usage while idle.

At this point, it is not known when the patch will be released to all users, but it is expected to be released soon. Until then. close the game launcher manually.
