Engelbert Humperdinck makes a desperate plea after he and his wife, actress Patricia Healey, contract the new corona virus.
The 84-year-old singer asked for prayers in a heartfelt video shared on his Instagram and Facebook on Wednesday, saying that their diagnosis of COVID-19 has made it “rather impossible” for Healey to see medical professionals as she continues to struggle with the disease. Alzheimer’s.

In the caption, the crooner wrote ‘The Last Waltz’ that he and his family ‘need a miracle for my lovely wife’.
“Her Alzheimer’s disease and the blow of Covid have made her need all the love she’s ever given to come back to her a million times,” he explained.
According to Humperdinck, the family prays every night at 8 p.m. PST for Healey and “all those suffering from the pandemic and other life-threatening illnesses.”
“Therefore, my friends, I don’t feel selfish about this question as we all have to pray for each other,” he wrote, asking fans to pray with him.
Humperdinck added that he feels for those who cannot be with their loved ones during the pandemic and that he is “extremely grateful” for the time he spends with his wife.

Humperdinck and Healey have been married since 1964. The two have four children: Scott, Jason, Bradley and Louise.
