Eminem has seemingly gotten back on a TikTok campaign to cancel him due to ‘problematic’ lyrics in one of his old songs.
The American rapper, 48, was trending on The popular social media app highlighted a controversial line from its 2010 song Love The Way You Lie with Rihanna after a series of videos.
In the song, Eminem – whose real name is Marshall Mathers – raps, “I know I’m a liar, if she ever tries to leave again I’ll tie her to the bed and set this house on fire.”

TikTok users suggested that the lyrics ‘glorify domestic violence’ and called the song ‘problematic’.
One video says, ‘Yesssss let’s cancel it,’ while another wrote, ‘No wonder I’m toxic, I grew up listening to this song.’

He shared a snippet of the track on his Twitter, in which he appears to be directly addressing the scandal with lyrics that read, ‘I don’t understand a word of what you’re saying, I’m tone deaf. I think I prefer to stay this way, I am tone deaf.
‘I don’t stop even when my hair turns gray, I’m tone deaf. “Because they won’t stop until they cancel me.”

In the video for Love The Way You Lie, directed by Joseph Kahn, Megan Fox and Dominic Monaghan see a couple go through an abusive relationship.
When the song came out in 2010, Terry O’Neill, president of the National Organization for Women, said Rihanna inadvertently glorified domestic violence.
“She’s telling the story, and she’s not judging it,” said O’Neill. “And so she may not intend to glorify it, but she is.”
Marjorie Gilberg, executive director of the anti-violence group Break the Cycle, agreed.
“The danger is that pop culture determines our social norms,” she told the AP.
‘We don’t want the message from this number to be that this type of relationship is acceptable.
“So this song should be seen in the context of real information from adults, such as parents and teachers.”
