Emilio Estefan shares the last photo he took before leaving Cuba

The Cuban man Emilio estefan, one of the most important music entrepreneurs of the past decades, has shared with all his followers on social networks an important memory that is part of his life on the island.

The musician and producer dusted off an old black and white photo that is none other than the last one taken in Cuba before leaving his and looking for a brighter future.

In the snapshot, Emilio Estefan appears as a young man holding an accordion with his hands and right behind him we see his mother sitting in an armchair looking at him with a happy face.

The famous artist He uploaded the image to his Instagram profile and added a few words to reflect on those moments and how difficult it was for him to be away from his mother for several years after leaving the island. The music mogul confessed, however, that “he wouldn’t change what he had been through” because they taught him and helped him become who he is today.

“This is the last photo I took before I left Cuba. After this photo I haven’t seen my mother for years and I had very difficult moments. But thanks to those moments I am here today and I wouldn’t change anything I went through. because I learned from the good and the bad. Grateful to live for everything and especially for a great family, “he noted in the publication.

Emilio Estefan left Cuba very young accompanied by his father. First of all, they both lived in Spain for a while, until 1968 they moved to the city of Miami, where the artist took root and began to build the fruitful career he enjoys today.

His early years in the United States were difficult. To eat, he earned a living by running errands for his neighbors, playing the accordion in bars and restaurants, and doing various jobs to pay for a living.

After trying his luck at various events and companies, including Bacardi, Emilio Estefan realized that his true passion was music, so he decided to focus on it. He first formed a group called Miami Latin Boys, which enjoyed some success at local parties and events.

It was then that he met the singer Gloria, at the time with the surname Fajardo, and he proposed to become part of his band. After acceptance, the group was renamed Miami Sound Machine in 1977 and became one of the most important Latin music groups of the time.

By 1976, the love that had developed between Gloria and Emilio Estefan was already known to many. Both have passed at the altar on September 2, 1978, when the singer was 21 years old. The result of their relationship were their two children, Nayib and Emily, who inherited her parents’ talents.

In addition to success on a sentimental level, the Estefans became one of the most powerful and famous Latino couples in the music industry.

While Gloria triumphed as a singer, Emilio also focused on the arrangement and musical production, getting behind the hits of famous artists such as Shakira, Natalia Jiménez, Thalía, Ricky Martin or Carlos Vives, among many others.
