Emergency Management intervenes with a man who would go into the sea with strong waves

Authorities convinced a man not to enter the sea in the Loíza area, given the strong wave warning off northern Puerto Rico.

“In Loíza we had to guide a person to get them out of the water, because we don’t want anyone in the water. There is a potential danger in these two days, ”said Acting Commissioner of the State Emergency Management and Disaster Administration Office, Nino Correa.

“At first, the person responded by slapping their hands, but later, when the colleague approached him, he thanked him and continued,” Correa said of the person’s response when asked to get out of the water.

Correa visited several beaches on Saturday with the Secretary of the Department of Public Security (DSP), Alexis Torres, to escort people who do not enter the sea.
