Ellen DeGeneres said she has endured “excruciating back pain” but now feels “100 percent” after a positive test for COVID-19.
In a health update Wednesday, the controversial talk show host, 62, posed at home with her dog and addressed the audience via video.
“I feel 100 percent,” she said in the video posted on social media. “I feel really good.”
Last Thursday, DeGeneres revealed she contracted COVID-19and noted that she “felt fine” at the time. However, in Wednesday’s clip, DeGeneres addressed the “excruciating back pain” she went through.
“One thing they don’t tell you is that you somehow get excruciating back pain,” DeGeneres said. ‘I didn’t know that was a symptom, but I talked to a few other people – back pain. Who knew, why is that? Back pain, bad. “
Fever or chills, shortness of breath, fatigue, and a new loss of taste or smell are among the symptoms of COVID-19, according to the CDC.
DeGeneres’ diagnosis followed a BuzzFeed report claiming that “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” struggled to secure talent and lost sponsors in the wake of toxic workplace claims from last summer.
