Thursday around 6:30 am is the National Police was made aware of the existence of a male person’s body.
The complaint indicated that the discovery took place in the core region of the Sierra de The Merendon, near the municipality of Las Peñitas, on the southern outskirts of San Pedro Sula.
The stench that the body gives off was the factor that allowed the people closest to the place of discovery to find it.

The victim is a fat-built man, face down, wearing only white socks and a beige boxer. The first police officers to arrive at the crime scene stated a priori that the body had multiple gunshot wounds to the head and back.
Doubts whether it is Antonio Brevé
Knowing the physical features and advanced state of decomposition raises the doubt whether it was the young merchant and aspiring substitute for the Libertad y Refundación (free) party, Medardo Rivera, better known as Antonio Brevé.
Rivera Brevé was kidnapped by men dressed as elements of the Criminal Investigation Office (ATIC), in the San Carlos de San Pedro Sula neighborhood, on February 18. Until the time of writing, the identity of the victim of El Merendón had not been confirmed.
