“El Chavo del 8” lived in the middle of a neighborhood all his life. However, his father, Roberto Gómez Bolaños, even owned a private marina in “Villa Florinda”, his luxurious Cancun mansion.
It was precisely thanks to the series “El Chavo del 8” that Gómez Bolaños owed him his fortune because he was the maker.
“Roberto Gómez Bolaños brought amazing characters to life on Mexican television, sharing an enormous fortune and a luxurious home with the one who was the great love of his life, Florinda Meza,” reported Mexico’s El Herald newspaper.
The famous actor and comedian spent some of his last days before his death, on November 28, 2014, in this comfortable and elegant home in the Isla Dorada residential area of Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico.
“It is a luxurious mansion known as Villa Florinda, which is said to be characterized by vast spaces full of luxury and comfort,” says El Heraldo.
Since 2009, Chespirito has lived in Cancún with his wife Florinda Meza, whom he took refuge and remained unobtrusive, away from social events or friends in the area.
His last public appearance in Cancún was on July 1, 2012, when he went to vote in a special booth in the convention center of the hotel zone, Mexican media reported.
In addition to being an actor and comedian, Gómez Bolaños was also a playwright, writer, screenwriter, music composer, director and television producer.
Besides ‘El Chavo del Ocho’ and ‘El Chapulín Colorado’ he played many other characters belonging to the Mexican imagination.
