EDITH GONZÁLEZ AND THE TIME TELEVISA DID NOT PAY HIM FOR A TELENOVELA FOR A MONTH

In the clip, the actress recounts all that happened in a conversation with the then-owner of Televisa in which she told him she had a contract pending payment for her work on a soap opera.

“There was an open contract that was not paid, I had a telenovela that was never paid”González said. ‘Completita, a whole novel complete. On my first date with Mr. Azcárraga, I said to him, “Sir, they didn’t pay for the novel.” And he says to me, ‘Did you sign it?’, (I replied), ‘no sir, it was a verbal contract’. The text word (from him) was: ‘ya te jo ….’ ”He counted between laughter.

While the fact is that years later he felt like a funny episode of life, it didn’t make him a bit funny at the time. “A whole free job, a whole year of my life”continued the remembered actress.

In fact, Edith González did not reveal what production it was, releasing only a few clues. The actress said it was in the years that she recorded the telenovela with the late Eduardo Palomo and that Victor Hugo O’Farrill, the famous novelist on Televisa, had just left.
