Edgar Wright will direct Stephen King’s The Running Man

Edgar Wright develops a new one adaptation of Stephen King’s novel The running manWritten by King under a pseudonym (Richard Bachman, the dystopian story follows a poor father selected to appear on a government-run game show in which he tries to survive for 30 days while hitmen try to kill him. Mind you, this is not going to be a remake of the Arnold Schwarzenegger version of The running manThe book is grimmer and the protagonist is a little guy Arnold Schwarzenegger is … Arnold Schwarzenegger. Like Deadline reports, Wright develops the story with Michael Bacall, to be Scott pilgrim against the world co-writer, and Bacall will write the screenplay.

Not a word on whether or not the movie is one Richard Dawson hologram. Probably not, given the whole story I just said it’s not a remake of the movie, but I say give the people what they want.
