

Venezuelan actor Édgar Ramírez will lead the cast of the eight-part series Florida Man Netflix, the specialized media reported Deadline.
Created by veteran Donald Todd, the series follows a former cop who is forced to return to his home state of Florida to find the runaway girlfriend of a Philadelphia gangster.
The production is defined as “a wild odyssey in a sunny spot for shady people.”
Todd, who will serve as showrunner (lead for the project), is executive producer with Jason Bateman and Michael Costigan from Aggregate Films. The project stems from Aggregate Films’ initial agreement with Netflix.
Todd is known as the creator of the ABC comedy series starring Christina Applegate, Samantha Who ?. He also worked on it This is us the NBC, Ugly Betty from ABC and Sleepy Hollow from Fox.
Ramírez’s last premieres were on the Netflix streaming platform: The Wasp Network (2020) and Yeah bye (2021).
Early April Deadline also reported that Ramírez joined the cast of the video game adaptation Borderlands developed by Lionsgate. The Venezuelan will give life to Atlas, a weapons manufacturer and the most powerful person in that universe to which Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart, Jamie Lee Curtis, Ariana Greenblatt, Florian Munteanu, Haley Bennett and Jack Black will give life.
