He returned to the spotlight with Coming 2 America, which came out on Amazon Prime in March and celebrated his 60th birthday on April 3.

And Eddie Murphy says life couldn’t be better than it is now.

“I’m the most comfortable I’ve ever felt in my skin,” Hollywood star Oprah Winfrey told the premiere of The Oprah Conversation on Apple TV +, which premieres Friday.

Murphy explained, “I feel great and optimistic and feel very comfortable with Eddie. I was always comfortable in my own skin, but not like now. ‘

In her conversation with Murphy, Oprah talks to him about his decades of success in Hollywood and his return to stand-up comedy.

The acclaimed comedian was 19 when he joined the cast of Saturday Night Live and at the age of 21 starred in the film 48 Hours followed by Trading Places the following year.

His other hits included the Beverly Hills Cop franchise, the comedy The Nutty Professor and his role as the voice of Donkey in the Shrek series of animated films.

In 2007 Murphy was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for Dreamgirls.

Together Again: After a hiatus from filmmaking, Murphy returned to Amazon Prime's Coming 2 America this year, where he reunited with his 1988 co-star Arsenio Hall for the sequel.

Murphy also thinks about what he likes best about being a father and a grandfather.

In a teaser for Friday’s episode of The Oprah Conversation, Winfrey berates Murphy for apparently never changing a diaper in his life, despite being the father of 10 children.

“I bought a lot of diapers,” the joker joked.

Last month, Murphy revealed how proud he is of his children, ages two to 31.

“I am so blessed with my children,” he said on Marc Maron’s WTF podcast.

‘I don’t have one bad seed. I’m not like, ‘Oh it’s you.’ I have none of that. My kids are great, normal people, and no one is like the Hollywood bastard. ‘

The actor added: ‘My kids are smart and try to do things. I am blessed with my children. I was really, really lucky. ‘
