EA gets the most out of it FIFA money from the Ultimate Team mode of the game where fans spend real money in attempts to unlock elite players. Today, these are claimed to be lucrative items are sold to users privately by employees within EA Sports.

Complaints have been made that someone has sold within EA using the hashtag #EAGATE FIFAs Prime Icon Moment players for huge sums of money like € 1000 (USD $ 1190) for two players.

That is a lot of money, but there are people who take both FIFA very seriously and Spending thousands on Ultimate Team packs only trying to unlock elite players, so to eliminate the random factor and just get the best players right away isn’t as terrible a deal as it might sound.

When the complaints first surfaced, it was difficult to parse which one were legitimate and were just … the same white noise that the FIFA community can always produce when it comes to relationship with developer EA Sports.

But some of the screencaps seemed devastating:

Annoying enough that I doater in the day, EA acknowledged the allegations and issued a statement saying “a thorough investigation is underway, and if we find inappropriate behavior, we will take prompt action.”

“We want to be clear – this kind of behavior is unacceptable, and we don’t condone in any way what would have happened here. We understand how this raises concerns about an unfair balance in the game and competition. “
