Dustin Diamond, best known for playing the role of Samuel “Screech” Powers in the hit NBC comedy, Saved by the bell, died on February 1, 2021, TMZ reported. The famous actor was 44 years old.
Dsuton Diamond’s cause of death was due to stage four cancer, a diagnosis he only discovered three weeks ago. On Monday, Dustin Diamond’s friend Dan Block told The Sun, “We don’t have a specific time, but we know Dustin needs a miracle to get over the small cell carcinoma he’s been diagnosed with.”
“They told him the average lifespan is weeks to five months, but a small percentage of people have lived one to two years with stage 4 cancer,” Block continued. “We hope he is one of those people who survives adversity and that we spend as much time with him as possible.”

A representative for the actor told TMZ that Diamond’s father was by his side when he died on Monday morning February 1. “His condition had deteriorated dramatically since last week,” said TMZ. Diamond was taken from the breathing machines to take the actor to hospice after Dustin Diamond’s cancer had spread to his lungs.
“It started as a tumor on his neck,” Block revealed. “A big lump in my throat, which was very visible.”
“He was diagnosed with this brutal and brutal cancer just three weeks ago,” his representative told In Touch. “At the time, it quickly spread through your system; the only grace he showed was his swift and sharp execution. Dusti Diamond struggled some with her personal life after Saved by the Bell came to an end. In 2001, he filed for bankruptcy in California and began a campaign to raise money by selling T-shirts that read, “I paid $ 15 to save Screech’s house,” said the Milwaukee-Wisconsin Journal Sentinel.
