Drunk dancer tries epic ‘Dirty Dancing’ move, cuts the neck

Someone has to corner this “baby”.

An intoxicated dance teacher redefined ‘breakdancing’ after landing horribly on her head while trying to recreate Baby and Johnny’s iconic elevator from ‘Dirty Dancing’ with her boyfriend.

“It all happened so quickly,” said Millie Slennett, 25, of the bone-crunching moment that has since gone viral.

“I didn’t have my professional cap on,” the Sydney, Australia resident told Kennedy News. “We had a few drinks – but I think having some in my system might have helped my fall as I was a little more relaxed.”

The botched boogie started after Millie challenged her sister Rosie, 19, to a dance party in their family’s yard. They wanted to see who could better replicate the high-flying series from the 1987 film ‘Dirty Dancing’, in which Johnny Swayze’s Johnny raises Jennifer Grey’s Baby over his head while ’80s hit’ I’ve Had the Time of My Life ‘plays.

Millie was convinced that she and her boyfriend, 6-foot-1 Conner Justin, “had it in the bag,” since she was a dance teacher and her sister is just a fashion designer. Her sibling’s attempt was “terrible,” Millie said.

In her sister’s 23-second video, it started off promisingly with the dance pro doing a running jump into Justin’s arms, then lifting her above his head so that she is parallel to the ground.

“I thought we made it,” recalls Millie, who also hosts the podcast “The Dance Pod,” about her not-so-triumphant moment in the spotlight.

However, their recreation goes awry after she falls over her beauty’s shoulders and lands on her head, causing her neck and body to forcibly bend backwards like a folding chair.

“I kept trying to lift my legs and then they came over my head,” said the choreographer, who practices various dance sequences at home with Justin. “It went from good to bad within 0.3 seconds.”

“I’m so lucky. It could have been so much worse … I could have died.”

At that point, Rosie stopped filming and her family rushed to see if Millie could still move her limbs.

The makeshift stuntwoman later reported to the hospital, where CT scans revealed that she had miraculously escaped any damage other than bruising. After watching the footage of the accident, doctors were surprised that she could walk at all.

‘I know I’m so lucky. It could have been so much worse, ”said Millie. ‘I could have broken my neck or damaged my spine. I could have died. “

Instagram viewers were briefly confused as to how she got out of the stunt unharmed.

“WOW !!!!!! So glad you’re doing well, that’s so extreme,” exclaimed a relieved commenter on the “Unbreakable” evoking saga.

Another wrote: ‘Omg Millie, my toes clenched, my stomach turned. I closed my eyes. Terrifying! “

Nevertheless, the shocking clip has reportedly upset Millie’s father so much that he promises to remove it from his phone.

As for the dance routine, Millie said she “wouldn’t recommend trying it after a few drinks.”

“Definitely try it in a pool or something first.”
