However, there is good news in this area. On Tuesday, the White House announced that it is tapping an additional cohort of pharmacies through which more coronavirus vaccines will be distributed. Jeffrey Zients, White House coordinator of the coronavirus, said the federal government will send an additional 1 million doses of vaccine through this distribution channel to approximately 6,500 pharmacies next week. That’s the start of a federal effort to supply the COVID vaccine to a total of 40,000 pharmacies.
