Dr. Drew condemns vaccine passports and gets swept up by Twitter users

Dr. Drew Pinsky’s take on vaccine passports earned him an unsatisfactory rating among Twitter users on Monday.

It happened after the doctor and media personality suggested on Twitter that vaccination passports were needed for international travel stripping people of their freedom.

These vaccine passports separate people and deprive them of the freedom to travel internationally. Vaccinations are important and I encourage everyone to get the Covid vaccine, but how would you feel if international travel also required other vaccinations?

Pinsky was immediately dragged by Twitter users for having no idea of an important fact: Since the 1940s, some international travel has required vaccines.

Not surprisingly, many Twitter users were shocked that a nationally known doctor like Pinsky if not knew that vaccinations are often required for international travel.

After being massively “endorsed” for the tweet, Pinsky apparently decided that instead of admitting he was wrong, it would be better to post a cryptic quote from former President Theodore Roosevelt.

So far, Pinsky hasn’t admitted that, yes, vaccination passports have been part of international travel for decades.

However, he eventually dropped false claims to freedom and made a simple request to Americans to get one of the COVID-19 vaccines.

In December, Pinsky was diagnosed with COVID-19 months after apologizing for calling the pandemic “press-induced panic,” according to Yahoo News.
