TEGUCIGALPA, HONDURAS.-The famous doctor Archimedes Rodriguez died this Friday because of COVID-19, his colleague confirmed Carlos Umaña.

“I regret to inform you that Dr. Arquímedes Rodríguez, another frontline hero, has passed away, our condolences to his family and medical union,” Umaña wrote on the social network.

Rodríguez was known to have died in the Hospital of Specialties of the Honduran Social Security Institute (IHSS) from Tegucigalpa, product of respiratory complications.
At the health center, he continued to fight for his life for several days since the virus affected his lungs, but this Friday he lost the fight.
Rodríguez joins the long list of doctors who have died of the virus Sars-Cov2.
