Full preview comes March 17th
Bethesda has released a trailer for a trailer (because this is real life now), the arrival of The Ancient Gods: Part 2, the next explosive DLC expansion on the way to id Software’s Eternal fate.
The short video, which you can watch below, sees our friend the Doom Slayer gather with some devastating intergalactic powers prepare for a hell of an all-powerful showdown with his evil alter ego, The Dark Lord, who shows up in the war with a pretty all-powerful Warhammer-style battle armor. A quick glimpse of the action, and we’re done, with the full gameplay trailer coming out this Wednesday, March 17th.
Eternal fate, which is currently available on PS4, PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, is also expected to release on PS5 and Xbox Series X sometime later in 2021. Doom is one of the properties now under the Microsoft banner (courtesy of the acquisition of ZeniMax), it remains to be seen what the future holds for the franchise from an exclusivity position.
