We continue to experience the devastation of the coronavirus pandemic and that implies many limitations at mass events. Last year, the main awards had to be adapted to an online format.
This 2021, in the American Airlines Arena de Miami, Premio Lo Nuestro was held. The ceremony had a different flavor, as for the first time in its history there was no live audience and only the people indispensable to the event, such as the conductors (Chiquinquir Delgado, Jos Ron and Yuri), the nominees and some special guests.

In addition to the night starring Bad bunny, which won seven awards, including Album of the Year, was an evening with a nostalgic touch: a tribute was made for Armando Manzanero, emblematic singer and composer of Mexican music who recently died of complications with Covid-19. The presentation was provided by Alejandra Guzmn, Yuri and Lila Downs, those numbers like: I’m gonna turn off the light, I miss you and I love it.
