Donald Trump Jr. cancels Springsteen’s dropped DWI charges

Donald Trump Jr. tweeted Thursday that federal prosecutors have only dismissed charges of DWI and reckless driving against rock icon Bruce Springsteen on the grounds of “ liberal privilege. ”

Trump Jr., 43, gave his thoughts on Wednesday’s resignation to his 6.7 million followers, citing a Post article about the outcome.

“I’d say it’s #WhitePrivilege, but we all know it’s really #LiberalPrivilege,” read the post, which was retweeted more than 3,200 times Thursday afternoon.

While prosecutors dropped the two charges, Springsteen, 71, pleaded guilty to a single count of drinking in an enclosed area as a result of his Nov. 14 arrest at Gateway National Recreation Area in Sandy Hook.

Prosecutors noted that The Boss’s blood alcohol content was only 0.02 at the time, or well below the state’s legal limit while driving of 0.08.

“I had two small shots of tequila,” Springsteen said during the virtual hearing.
