John Poulos, CEO of Dominion Voting Systems, said on Tuesday that his company was part of “a dangerous and reckless disinformation campaign” and defended the validity of the election results before the Michigan Senate Committee.
“These people who make baseless allegations undoubtedly know they are lies,” Poulos said while attending a three-hour hearing, adding that those accusing the voting technology company of having ties to Venezuela are out to “doubt and confuse.” to seed on the 2020 presidential election, ”said the Detroit Free Press.
Poulos, who was sworn under oath before Tuesday’s hearing, testified just two weeks after the Senate and House Oversight Committees held hearings to have first-hand witnesses come forward to tell their stories of alleged voter and electoral fraud .
MICHIGAN MONITORING COMMITTEES SUBPOENA ELECTION EQUIPMENT AND COMMUNICATION
The House Oversight Committee invited President Trump’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, to attend and bring witnesses, although none of them were under oath and several had been dismissed by the courts prior to the hearing for various reasons – largely due to a lack as evidence to prove electoral fraud.
Different people have come forward in different states where Dominion Voting Systems was used to claim election fraud, although the witnesses largely reduced this to human error rather than machine-based fraud.
The Trump 2020 campaign repeatedly claimed that widespread fraud prevailed in the election and that the voting technology used by Dominion was compromised – though the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) flatly rejected these allegations.
“The Nov. 3 election was the safest in US history,” DHS said in a joint statement with its coordinating election committees.
“When states have close elections, many will count the ballots again. All states with good results in the 2020 presidential race will have a paper record of each vote, providing the opportunity to go back and count each vote if necessary, ”the statement said. “This is an added benefit to security and resilience.”
Poulos supported this reasoning at Tuesday’s hearing, adding that a signature of the paper ballots would have revealed some discrepancies.
“The number reported by the machine can always be compared to a hand number from those original paper ballots,” he said at his virtual hearing, Michigan Live reported. “People may speculate about vote-shifting or secret algorithms or glitches, but if that were true, the paper ballots wouldn’t match the number of machines.”
The Michigan Board of Canvassers confirmed the election results on Nov. 23, concluding that Democrat Joe Biden won the popular vote with 154,188 votes.
The Electoral College cast 16 electoral votes for Biden on Monday.
While the results of the Great Lake state election have been finalized, Senate and House oversight committees have been subpoenaed to review all communications and electronic equipment in Livonia and Detroit City counties.
The state legislature does not intend to reverse the election results, but rather to review the processes to see if they can improve the election in the future, said Matthew Hall, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, to Fox News.
“Surveillance footage, hard drives and other storage equipment such as USB drives can provide us with additional information that will help us see how these elections functioned and where they can operate more efficiently,” Hall said in a statement Tuesday.

“This information can help us complete our picture as we work to give people across our state the clarity and answers they deserve – so they can have an election system that they trust in the future,” he added.
