Dodgers send Dylan Floro to Marlins

The Los Angeles Dodgers have been very active in this MLB winter market and even more so in the changes with the relievers since early morning On Friday, they sent lefthanded pitcher Adam Kolarek to the Oakland Athletics in exchange for two prospects. Now they have agreed to a new deal for one of the key members of the World Series champion bullpen.

According to information from ESPN’s Jeff Passan, the Los Angeles Dodgers have accepted a trade from the Miami Marlins for reliever Dylan Floro in exchange for reliever Alex Vesía and another prospect to be named later.

Dylan Floro has been with the Dodgers since the middle of the 2018 season, when he came over from the Cincinnati Reds instead. In two and a half seasons in Los Angeles, Floro went 11-4 with a 3.10 ERA and won the 2020 World Series with the Blues.

Instead, 24-year old Vesía made his campaign debut in 2020 with the Marlins and didn’t do well enough in his first Major League-season, as he threw 4.1 innings and gave up 9 earned runs to lift his ERA to 18.69.
