DMX stands forever on the flesh of the woman he would marry before his untimely death – because she got some new ink to honor him … and it’s right in his alley.
Desiree Lindstrom – who was engaged to X, and gave birth to his 15th child – actually enlisted the help of a famous New York tattoo artist to show her love for her late fiancé in endearing terms … by performing a one-off ‘Black Ink Crew’ beat star Krystal Kills for customization.
As you can see, Desiree has “Dog Love” written on her forearm … with a big X underneath. The meaning may seem obvious – if you know DMX, you know that canines were a big part of his artistic aesthetic – but this wording is actually a bit more personal than that.
We’ve been told that Desiree engraved “Dog Love” for two reasons – one, it’s something X himself always said. Second, our sources say Desiree views a dog’s love as unconditional, just like X’s. Besides, she did this Friday night … not too long after he passed away.
As we reported … X died after his organs started to fail and brain function never returned.
Desiree was present with their young son, Exodus, for one of the vigil kept for X just outside the hospital – part of the outpouring of fan love for him during his last days.
In light of all that, it is moving to see that Desiree now has a way of holding his memory for good and with such intimate means. X raised the question to her at the Exodus birthday party in 2019.
