Disco Elysium: The Final Cut Patch 1.2 out now for PS5, promises to fix major bugs

Disco Elysium The Final Cut Patch 1.2

Updating: Typical. Bloody typical. You’re writing an article about a patch that’s been missing for a whole week, and the sodding thing pops up almost as soon as you hit ‘publish’. Unreal timing, but update 1.2 is finally here. It is now available for download on PS5.

Meanwhile, we assume the PS4 patch is imminent.

Original Story: Disco Elysium: The Final Cut made its way to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 just over a week ago. We’re currently playing it for review and we think it’s a really fascinating title, but there’s no denying how buggy it can be . Indeed, we have reached a point where a particularly nasty bug is preventing us from following a specific storyline – a bug to be fixed with the game’s next update, patch 1.2.

However, that update has been missing for a full week now. Developer ZA / UM recently said the patch was expected to arrive yesterday (that’s April 6), but it never happened. As such, disgruntled players have been essentially left in the dark – ourselves included.

We hope that the aforementioned update can come out all of a sudden any time, but it’s still a sad situation. Again, Disco Elysium is clearly a special thing – but the bugs really soured our experience so far. We will of course update this article if the patch expires in the near future.

Have you had any issues with Disco Elysium on PS5 or PS4? Are you waiting for this patch?
