Destiny 2’s season is coming to an end, so don’t forget to do these five things first

It takes a little over a week for Destiny 2’s Season of the Hunt to come to an end. This season is a bit different from previous seasons as Bungie now strives to reduce “FOMO,” the Fear of Missing Out, by letting many seasonal things carry over throughout the year. In this case, this includes things like Wrathborn Hunts, so no rush to edit those weapons, and storylines like the Crow / Hawkmoon quest, including the new secret quest, Harbinger, which won’t go away.

And yet, some things is left, and I wanted to make a short post explaining exactly what to remember before the season ends on February 9th.

1. Turn in Crucible Tokens

Bungie has made this very clear with both in-game and out-of-game announcements. Crucible Tokens will go away and you must return them all to Shaxx, whether you have 200 or 20,000, before the season ends or you will lose them and any equipment / materials they can turn into. It’s not a very fun process, but it’s just a waste if you don’t do it for the shards, cores, and the occasional good roll (very, very occasionally). Gambit changes to the same system as Crucible, but that mode never had tokens in the first place. The Vanguard will eventually change in this system, but not this coming season, so no, you won’t to have to turn in your Vanguard tokens now. Neither weapon parts in Banshee, as I’ve heard some people ask.

2. Claim High Stat Season Pass armor

If you paid for the season, don’t forget to claim your 60+ stat set of Wild Hunt armor that’s between level 37 and 57 on the pass, which I assume you’ve reached at this point. I usually forget about it until the last minute, as I already use armor from past seasons, but it’s always a solid set with the highest current sunset cap, so you don’t want to miss it. There are two other, lower stat sets you can get for both materials, or they will drop to the level if you need to fill in gaps for a power upgrade.

3. Outsource all the vaulted zoning material you can

I think people have forgotten about this, but according to Bungie, this will be the last season where stuff will be on sale for vaulted zoning materials. As such, you should go to Spider or Banshee to buy anything you can for materials from Titan, Io, Mercury or Mars as they are about to become unusable. As you can see, I didn’t do this perfectly above, but I’ve tried to be aware of it this season. It’s RNG for what you can buy on any given day, so you can’t physically do this on time, but it’s worth giving it a try.

Buy Drifter’s God Roll Rocket Launcher

Sure, he might have it next season, but you never know. With the Rocket Launcher buff, a 1360 powercap Bad Omens with tracking and cluster bombs could be useful, and it’s something you can pick up without having to wade through layers of RNG farming.

5. Submit all completed weekly premiums

If you’re like me, you probably save some bounties to get some early easy levels when next season starts, but this time, with the weekly bounties disappearing next season, you can’t save them. Bungie has warned players to turn them in before the season ends or you will lose any rewards from them. There’s no point holding them this time.

Those are the most important things I can think of right now. If anything else comes to mind, I’ll add it later.
