Deputies demand the resignation of Juan Orlando Hernández

TEGUCIGALPA, HONDURAS.- A group of 34 delegates from the National Congress support a demonstration demanding the immediate and irrevocable resignation of the President of the Republic, Juan Orlando Hernandez in the face of corruption and mismanagement of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The action is being promoted by the congressman Innovation and unity party (Pinu), Luis Redondo, who is supported by the other members of this political institution, the majority of the legislators of Libertad y Refundación (Libre), including a parliamentarian from the Liberal Party.

In addition, the document was signed by the unicameral vice president, Enrique Medina Yllescas.

“ From his continued and accentuated negligence to the detriment of the people with the mismanagement of the Covid-19 pandemic, and the apparent uncertainty in the national health system, added the reprehensible acts of widespread corruption to the management of the destined resources. for health in Honduras ”, underlines the first paragraph of the demonstration, which does not have the force of the law and could only be read in a virtual legislative session.
