DENVER (CBS4) – The crew installed a new public restroom in downtown Denver on Wednesday. The permanent facility is located on the edge of Champa Street near the 16th Street Mall in what used to be a parking strip.

It features two stalls, including one that meets ADA standards, non-contact entrances, hand sanitizer stations and space to wait in line.

The project began five years ago with a pilot program to address the need for public toilets in the inner city.
