Demi Lovato is embracing single life after calling off her two-month engagement to actor Max Ehrich.
On Saturday, the 28-year-old Confident singer revealed in an Instagram story what she likes best about being single.
There she wrote, “The best thing about being single is knowing that my happiness comes from no one but myself.”

Love me: Demi Lovato, 28, says the best thing about being single is ‘knowing that my happiness comes from no one but myself’ after two months of engagement to Max Ehrich

Me first: the confident singer said she liked being responsible for her own happiness because she finds it satisfying
Debuting an icy blonde pixie cut after getting even lighter with her new short locks, Lovato seemed to be embracing a fresh start.
The singer made headlines last summer after getting engaged to The Young and the Restless actor in July – to end the relationship in late September.
The duo began dating in March, and the destiny of their whirlwind romance seemed predestined for marriage as they immediately quarantined together.
‘I knew I loved him the night I met him. So a week later we went into quarantine. I was like, ‘Look, we’re in quarantine together. Um, because I love you, ‘she said in an interview.

Whirlwind romance: ‘I knew I loved him the night I met him,’ she said in an interview as she hobbled over the proposal
He quickly proposed after four months together and they gushed that he made her the “best version” of herself.
Unfortunately, the happiness was short lived as she started to feel that he was using her and the relationship was going downhill.
Ehrich was traveling to Atlanta to work on a project and Demi chose to go with him, but tension started to build and she left to clear her mind.
A source told E! News: ‘She didn’t know who Max really was and didn’t think he had good intentions. She doesn’t trust him and finds him vague. ‘

Before the proposal broke down, Ehrich saw other celebrities on social media, including Selena Gomez and Ariana Grande, lusting after, something that made Lovato feel that the relationship had been an insincere trick for attention all along.
After Demi called it off, Ehrich was seen crying overly dramatically on the beach, in what appeared to be a photo op of a stage.
She joked about the botched engagement in her monologue at The People’s Choice Awards, saying, ‘I went into lockdown mode and got engaged … I binged for seven seasons of Pretty Little Liars, got loose and then went looking aliens in the desert. ‘

Ehrich then spoke about her monologue, commenting on a photo of her: “Stop talking about me on award shows. Thanks. Exploiting our breakup for influence in PCA is not chill. ‘
A week after the split – which he claimed he found out through tabloids – he accused her of using the split to boost sales of her new song Still Have Me.
He went live on Instagram and said, ‘I was in love. The whole world should fucking know. I thought I had found the real deal, now I found out I was used to it. ‘
He continued, ‘I hope it’s number one because you know what, if that’s what someone wants in the material world, here you go, you’ve got it. I hope this makes you happy. To enjoy. You just lost someone who loved you completely, completely, infinitely, for everything. ‘
On Saturday – possibly in response to Demi’s social media story – he cryptically posted a screenshot of the definition of ‘loyalty’ and penned a number of exclamation points in the post.
