Demi Lovato reveals that she feels freer and more authentic after cutting her long hair as she rocks pink paint job and plaid pantsuit in Instagram snaps

She says her new short hair makes her feel ‘free’.

And on Monday, Demi Lovato shared some behind-the-scenes poses where she’s rocking a pink dye job and a designer pink plaid trouser suit that she wore to a performance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Lovato tagged professional photographer Angelo Kritikos and shared several photos on her Instagram.

The 28-year-old is back in the spotlight with her docuseries, Demi Lovato: Dancing With The Devil.

In it, she details her near-fatal 2018 overdose and subsequent journey to sobriety.

She sat down with DeGeneres on Monday and explained how she’s feeling freer and more authentic since cutting her hair.

“I feel like I’ve always been hiding behind my hair,” said Lovato, who confessed to always covering her body with her long locks when she struggled with eating disorders.

‘When I started doing all this work on myself, I thought,’ What have I been holding onto all my life and I need to let go of that? ‘She explained about her decision to have her head bald.

Lovato also told DeGeneres that she hopes her docuseries will help people realize they can overcome their “ deepest, darkest struggles. ”

She also said another reason for telling her story is to “make things right.”

‘I just wanted to tell the world,’ Hey, this is what happened, this is how I got through it, and hopefully this can help you too, ” she explained.

“Because this trip has been such a wild ride, but I’ve learned so much and can’t wait to share it with the world.”

The trailer released last week shocked Lovato’s fans with the candid admission that she suffered ‘three strokes’ as a result of her overdose and ‘a heart attack’ that left her ‘brain damage’.

As she continued to think about the life-changing incident and the effect it continued to have on herself, her friends and family, Demi compared her resilience to that of a nine-life cat.

‘I’ve had many lives, just like my cat. You know, I’m on my ninth life, ”she insisted. “I’m ready to do what I love again, which is to make music.”
