Delta passengers who slipped from the plane with their dog, get the pup back

The Florida couple who used the emergency slide to fly off a Delta flight at LaGuardia Airport with their Great Dane puppy in tow, got the dog back from an animal shelter in Brooklyn on Wednesday morning.

Antonio Murdock, 31, and 23-year-old girl 23-year-old Brianna Greco walked around 11am with rain from NYC’s Animal Care Centers in East New York

Murdock held Rain on a leash while the puppy excitedly jumped on his owners.

“Hey mama,” Greco said to her dog.

“We’re fine, we’re fine,” Murdock told the Post as the couple walked away. “We don’t want to talk now.”

“Of course we’re going to get her, she’s our dog,” said Greco. “People are very rude. We are in a very emotional state. We want to be left alone. “

NYC’s Animal Care Centers did not immediately respond to a request for comment as to why the animal – which could have been injured in the couple’s risky escape – was released to its owners.

A spokesman for the Mental Health and Hygiene Department – which oversees the ACC – also had no direct comment on Wednesday.

The couple opened an emergency door on the Delta plane at LaGuardia Airport around 11 a.m. Monday and took Rain with them as they descended the inflatable slide onto the tarmac.

The flight to Atlanta was preparing for takeoff at the time of their escape.

Murdock was charged with criminal trespass, reckless threats and criminal mischief, port authority police said Tuesday. He was released without bail and issued a protection order to avoid contact with the flight attendant.

Outside of criminal court, Murdock said on Tuesday that he was suffering from anxiety and depression and was having a panic attack at the time of the incident.

“I asked them three or four times to release me,” he said. “They said they stopped the plane and they never stopped the plane, and I got to the point where I just felt dizzy.”

Greco, was charged with criminal trespass and released on a ticket for the appearance of an office.
