DENVER (CBS4) – The suspected driver in the hit-and-run death of 3-year-old Lyndreth Sage Antone on New Year’s Eve virtually appeared in court on Saturday.

Jordan Montiel-Vazquez appeared before a video-conferencing judge in the Denver District Court after he was taken into custody Thursday on an investigation into leaving the scene of a death accident.

Police responded to the scene on South Lowell Boulevard and Morrison Road at around 6:35 p.m. Thursday. Investigators said Montiel-Vazquez, 23, left the scene but was later taken into custody at a house in Aurora.

Montiel-Vazquez remains in custody, but the judge has awarded him a $ 10,000 personal acknowledgment bond, meaning he can get out of prison.
