David Bowie’s daughter has paid tribute to her late father on what would have been his 74th birthday.
Alexandria Zahra Jones, known as Lexi, 20, took to Instagram and shared a heartwarming photo of herself along with her childhood father.
In an instant, Lexi held a small cake that read ‘Happy Birthday Dad’ as the singer put his arms around her.

Instead of a longer message, Lexi, who is also the daughter of supermodel Iman, simply wrote: ‘Happy Birthday XX’.
Iman also paid tribute to Bowie on his birthday, sharing a black and white photo of the couple kissing her on the forehead.
Next to the photo she wrote: ‘Kisses on the forehead are kisses meant for the soul. #EternalLove #BowieForever ‘.
Lexi is an aspiring artist based in California and sells her artwork on Depop for up to $ 250.

She is the child of hitmaker Space Oddity and the Somali fashion model, who first met in 1990 at a dinner party.
After she was born, she would help her father put his workaholic attitude “ in perspective ” and give him the will to stay healthy after his first heart attack.
David also had a son, Duncan Jones, from a previous marriage, while Imran shares her daughter Zulekha Haywood with a past love.
It has been five years since David died shockingly on January 10, 2016 at the age of 69 after an 18-month battle with cancer.

In a post on Mother’s Day, Bowie’s youngest child urged others to follow lockdown guidelines so she could see her family again soon.
Everyone please stay in I haven’t seen my mom in 6 months because we live on opposite shores and it’s very hard to leave now but I’m a kid and I miss her a lot so please be this time a party so it won’t take 2 damn years to see her again, thanks! she wrote.
The two were later reunited in New York.
