Date set for lawsuit over Randy Orton’s tattoos

According to a report from Pwinsider, the Randy Orton and 2K Games lawsuit over the use of Orton’s tattoos has a new trial date. After multiple delays, the new trial date has been set for September 20, 2021 at 9:00 am for the US District Court Southern District of Illinois (East St. Louis). Originally the date was set for February 16 before being postponed again to September.

Tattoo artist Catherine Alexander has filed a lawsuit with WWE & Take-Two Interactive (2K Games, 2K Spots, Visual Concepts Entertainment, YUKES Co) over the use of Orton’s tattoos, which were of her design. The publishers used the designs for Orton’s likeness in the game and got no permission from her. These tattoos include the tribal tattoos on Orton’s forearm, a bible verse on his arm, a dove, a rose and a skull.
